Ballet - Tayla Best

Tayla holds a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education and Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance and is a registered RAD teacher and Associate of the RAD. Her early education at Chilton Saint James School and training at Chilton Dance Centre and Danzworx included RAD and NZAMD examinations, multiple national certificates in dance and drama and a Trinity singing certificate.

With over a decade of teaching experience in New Zealand and the UK, Tayla has taught ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap and musical theatre across all age groups. She has worked with Chilton Dance Centre, Chilton St James School, YNI Dance, Chelsea Ballet Schools and the Janie Harris School of Dance. Her work includes exam preparation, choreography, student development reporting and mentoring students who have progressed to prestigious dance programmes. Tayla also has experience working with special needs students and contributing to community and school productions through voluntary roles.

Tayla is a professional and conscientious dance educator with a strong sense of integrity, empathy and respect. Dance has been a vital source of inspiration throughout her life, shaping both her personal and professional journey.
